Squash and Stretch

I used squash and stretch on both balls to make them seem more like a super ball, since super balls are extremely bouncy and have a lot of give because they are rubber. I tried to make the balls seem as elastic as possible to convey the material and mass.

Pose to Pose

I used pose to pose for all of the ball movements. I used this method because I knew where the ball was going to end up, either on the chair or hitting the jar. This made it a lot easier to get the movement of the ball to be smooth and end up where I needed it to be. This can clearly be seen with the ball jumping from the floor to the chair. The middle picture is the intermediate step where the ball is at the top of its arc.

Anticipation

The main source of anticipation is the jar falling off of the ledge. The jar pauses for a second right before it is about to tip over. The viewer knows that this is going to happen and are anticipating the action. I also used anticipation by drawing out the time the ball takes to squash when it is about to make a big jump.
